Day 2

Well where do you start with that little lot eh?  What an interesting day.

South Korea looked like a hyperactive bunch of 6 year olds after knocking back a party box of sherbet did dabs and comfortably eased out a fairly one dimensional Greece.

Argentina dominated yet still looked wobbly against Nigeria but could at least point to a reasonable display with Leo Messi looking to flex his powers fully.  Got to be a good sign.

Meanwhile the whole of England seemed terrified to accept that their side might not actually be all that good and preferred to trundle out, "all is not lost, we drew the first game in 66" and "you have to remember there are no easy games at international level; the USA are a good side".  Bollocks.  This is how it always feels, lest anyone has forgotten.

Apparently you can't blame Robert Green.  It was all ITV HD's fault.

More fun tomorrow eh?

Comments are very welcome.

Well I have to confess to expressing to BR, Whitey et al that Green or Hart was the best choice to make (on all round game).. I also did express that I'd rather have Chris Kirkland anyway, but David James would've been the wrong choice..... Well, I've seen James make an arse of things but that was summink else... Junior school.... However there were other things in the match which just struck massive chords for me with regards the difference between the talented and the winners... Talk later...

Watch out for the Koreans tho'.... They're gonna upset a few... Relentless enthusiasm wins nine times out of ten...
